Masashi Kishimoto's Interview New York

he man, the legend, behind the greatest manga of all time has made the trip from the Land of the Rising Sun (Japan) to the United States of America. Masashi Kishimoto was interviewed at the 2015 New York Comic Con, a four-day pop culture event celebrating many of the awesome things in life, including the series staring the orange-clad knucklehead ninja we all come to know and love. There, Kishimoto-sensei was interviewed by Marcus Graham from Twitch and Urian Brown from Viz Media’s American Shonen Jump where he answered questions on his experience in the USA, the fans, video games, Ninja Turtles, and of course Naruto! Kishimoto-sensei was joined by his editor Jo Otsuki who shared a bit of his role with Naruto. Take a look at the full interview below.

After the interview, a Naruto panel took place, and the questions kept on coming for Kishimoto-sensei. During the panel, he discusses his friendly rivalry with One Piece’s author Eiichiro Oda, the fans passion for Naruto, his admiration for various mangaka, and much, much more. He even draws Naruto and Jiraiya live in front of an audience of over 2000 people! Kishimoto-sensei is joined on stage by Chris (from Viz Media, who is the one asking questions), Jo Otsuki (Naruto editor), and Mari (we may have the spelling wrong, but she is the translator).
